The Iron Mountain Main Street exists because of support from residents and visitors to Dickinson County and the surrounding region. In addition to seeking volunteers and community input for future projects and activities, the Main Street also depends on community stakeholders to invest in the revitalization of downtown Iron Mountain.
In 2025, the Iron Mountain central business district stretching from the Chapin Pit in the north to the VA Hospital and Woodward Avenue in the south will be universally accessible, pedestrian friendly, and will provide a warm environment where all are welcome. Iron Mountain will be a regional center with many top quality festivals, celebrations, special events, retail promotions, and marketing activities which showcase the central business district to residents, tourists, and entrepreneurs alike.
The Dickinson County Council for the Arts will be cosponsoring the 10th annual “Out to Lunch” summer entertainment series with the Downtown Development Authority/Main Street (DDA/MS) on Thursdays from June 6th through August 15th at the Magee Johnson and Joan Flood Park across the street from the Dickinson County Library. Luckily we had help with making our sign, a small company that specifically provides letters for signs were gracious enough to provide is with some special pricing.
That’s our update for now, we’ll be announcing some other great things very soon so stay tuned.
